Who offers AI consulting for small businesses in Kent?
Dean Keating offers AI consulting to small businesses in Kent, from Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks to Canterbury, Ashford and Folkestone. He works remotely from Horndean in Hampshire. His service is practical: he finds the repetitive office work in a business, builds AI agents to do it, installs them and maintains them. To book the free first call, message him on WhatsApp on 07418 627304.
I’m Dean. I work with Kent firms from two counties away, which sounds like a drawback until you realise none of the work needs a site visit.
Kent
Small teams, long days, too much typing
Kent is a county of small firms. Hauliers near the Channel ports, growers and packers, builders, and shops and guest houses along the coast. Most have a handful of office staff, or just the owner at the kitchen table after tea, keeping on top of the messages.
- ✕ Delivery and collection times confirmed by phone, one customer after another.
- ✕ Customs and job paperwork copied from an email into a form by hand.
- ✕ Quotes written up at night because the day was spent on site.
- ✕ Voicemails from new customers that nobody returns until it is too late.

Working together
Why distance does not matter here
An AI agent lives inside your email, your booking system and your accounts package, not in your building. I get access the same way a new member of staff would, with their own login and only the permissions the job needs. Everything is tested with you watching on a call, and you can switch it off yourself at any time.
Free call
A quick, no-pressure call to understand your business and where the time’s going.
The audit
I go through how the work really happens in your business, and map every repetitive task worth automating.
Build & install
I build the agents and plug them into the tools you already use — done for you, on your systems.
Train & support
I show your team how it runs, then keep it running. You keep the time and the savings.
What gets built
Six kinds of work an agent can take on
Sales & follow-up
Every enquiry answered and every lead chased — even at 11pm on a Sunday.
Admin & data entry
Your records stay up to date without anyone touching a keyboard.
Customer service
The common questions handled instantly; the tricky ones passed to a human.
Invoicing & finance
Invoices go out on time, and the overdue ones chase themselves.
Reporting & ops
The numbers you actually need, in your inbox, with nobody building a spreadsheet.
Marketing & content
Your marketing keeps ticking over, even in your busiest week.
FAQ
What Kent owners ask first
Where in Kent do you work?
Anywhere in the county, because the work is remote: west Kent, the Medway towns, Canterbury, Thanet and the Channel coast. I’m based in Horndean, Hampshire.
Will you come to our yard or office?
Not normally. Kent is a long way round from Horndean and the job does not need it. A screen-share shows me more of how your systems work than a walk round the premises would.
Can an agent deal with freight paperwork?
It can do the copying, checking and chasing: lifting details from an email into the right form, spotting what is missing and asking the customer for it. A person still signs off anything with legal weight.
We are a two-person business. Is that too small?
No. The smaller the team, the more each saved hour is worth. Often the first agent just answers new enquiries quickly and books them in, and that alone pays its way.
How much does an AI consultant cost?
It depends entirely on how much work you want taken off your plate — a single follow-up agent is a very different job to automating a whole back office. I don’t quote before I understand your setup. The first call is free, and you’ll leave it knowing what’s worth doing and roughly what’s involved, whether you use me or not.
Is this just a website chatbot?
No. A chatbot waits on your website to be asked a question. The agents I build log into the tools you already use and do the actual job — the same clicks and keystrokes your staff make now, start to finish. Answering the website is one small thing they can do, not the point of them.
